When the "Round Tool" is not enough to get the blending that you need in your product development, you enter the realm of "Advanced Surface Modeling". Once there, you run up against all sorts of new modeling challenges. One of the most common is the 5-sided blend! Though there is a specific tool to solve the n-sided patch, when you want more specific control it's time to step up and learn a trick of two.
